Action Duchenne was established in 2001 with the aim of finding a cure for Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. It continues to fund-raise, campaign and provide support and educational expertise to young people and families affected by Duchenne. This includes ensuring that everyone receives the standard of care and support necessary to have the best life possible so that young people with Duchenne and their families can look forward to a brighter future. Action Duchenne also maintain the only Duchenne registry in the UK. This is essential to support clinical trials and research. The Richard Overall Trust
Richard Overall died aged 20 from the Duchenne form of muscular dystrophy. During his life he was determined to live life as fully as possible and to enjoy his passion. His passion was sport. The Richard Overall Trust was established in 2001 in memory of Richard to help future generations by providing support to disabled people to participate & enjoy sport.
